Best Show You Have Ever Seen
Posted in by admin - Jun 29, 2011The best musical performance I have seen would be the Project 961 Family Reunion concert in Alpharetta, GA. The concert started late in the afternoon and included four major bands with Shinedown to headline the concert. I arrived at the venue late and missed half of the first band’s performance, but the last half of their performance was superb. Sevendust is originally from Atlanta so it was awesome to see a local band succeed and now perform for their local fans.
The whole show was hosted by Atlanta’s rock music radio station, Project 961. The radio station was at the concert giving away free stuff such as an autographed guitar and other tickets to other local concerts. One radio station worker was handing out wristbands for the “pit,” the standing area right in front of the stage where the mosh pits and other shenanigans occurred. I was able to get myself a wristband and the two friends I was with were both able to obtain one even though there were massive amounts of people struggling to reach for one.
My friends and I went down to the pit for the next act, the one band I really wanted to see, Bullet For My Valentine. I just listened to their new single on the radio and I had to download on my computer so I could listen to it more closely. This band was truly talented. Now that we were in the pit, the band took the stage and started playing. I listened and jammed and it was as if they made no mistakes at all. Their performance was completely flawless. They played a few songs I didn’t know but I soon learned to like those songs as well. I was up close watching their incredible performance with friends beside me.
